That is one of the reasons why Philips introduced the COA label in the Philips HID Xenon bulb package. COA stands for "Certification of Authenticity." It is a Philips consumer packaging that comes with either a hologram or QR code label that directs the user to the Philips website to verify the authenticity of the Philips D4S HID Xenon bulb.

Return
We will accept returns for a refund or exchange on products in NEW/ unopened condition with the UNOPENED original package within 30 days of delivery. All returns without an exchange are subject to a 15% restocking fee without exception. The customer would be responsible for return shipping unless the reason for the return was our mistake which we will send you the pre-paid shipping label for. Your original shipping cost will be deducted from the refundable amount if you use the promotional free shipping code. All refunds must be issued back to the original payment method. We will NOT be able to process your return if your RMA number is not included with your product. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process the return upon receipt.
We reserve the right to deny/ refuse the return if your return does not meet the criteria stated above.
Exchange
Product may be exchanged if they are in NEW/ unopened condition with the UNOPENED original package within 30 days of delivery. Customer is responsible for shipping cost to and from our warehouse unless exchange is required by our mistake which we will cover all the shipping costs. You will not be able to re-use any promotional free shipping code if you have already used them on your original purchase.
Refund
Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process your refund once we receive your returned product. We will not issue the refund if your returned product does not meet the criteria we have stated on our return policy. Please note that there is a 15% restocking fee unless you are returning your product for an exchange.

What is the difference between the Philips. 42402 and 42402C1 bulbs?
The difference is the packaging box.
42402 comes in industrial packaging while 42402C1 comes with Certificate of Authenticity. -
I NEED TO REPLACE ONE LIGHT ON MY LEXUS I HAVE THE PHILIPS D4S XENECO 35 W 42402. ONE, DO i NEED TO REPLACE BOTH BULBS AT THE SAME TIME OR CAN i REPLACE JUST ONE? AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE 42402 IS THE SAME BULB AS THE 42402 IF I DO ONLY REPLACE ONE BULB. THANKS!
We recommend replacing both bulbs for two reasons.
1) If one goes out, it is likely that the other bulb will go out soon,
2) Because HID bulb is a xenon gas bulb, the color will not match with the old bulb and new.
